Dr. Sajid Saleem is an academic and higher education professional with several years of experience in teaching, research, academic leadership, quality assurance, accreditation, and internationalization. He currently serves as Director, Quality Assurance & International Office at the National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST), Islamabad, where he contributes to strengthening institutional quality, academic standards, international partnerships, and global engagement. He holds a PhD in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), USA, as a Fulbright scholar, and an MS in Mathematics with specialization in Statistics & Analysis. His professional experience includes research and industry assignments with Qualcomm R&D, San Diego, and Ericsson, as well as academic appointments at leading institutions in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. He earned his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering with President’s Gold Medal and Rector’s Gold Medal, recognizing his outstanding academic performance and proficiency in engineering design. In Quality Assurance, his areas of expertise include, accreditation, outcome-based education, program review, academic assessment, quality enhancement, benchmarking, and evidence-based institutional improvement, with experience related to frameworks including ABET, NCAAA (KSA), and CAA (UAE). In internationalization, he is engaged in developing strategic university partnerships, international academic collaborations, student and faculty mobility, joint research, transnational education, and international institutional engagement. His research interests include artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, wireless communication, and data analytics. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and has also contributed to professional skills development through his leadership of the Huawei Information & Network Certification Academy at NUST.
Dr. Zahra Rashid

Associate Professor Dr. Zahra Rashid joined NUST in April 2023. She completed her bachelors (MBBS) and Master’s Degree (M.Phil. Hematology) from Army Medical College, NUST. Later, she completed her fellowship (FCPS) in Hematology from the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan. She brings over 10 years’ experience in undergraduate medical education to NUST School of Health Sciences, where she teaches Basic and Special Pathology. An avid medical teacher, she is certified in health professional’s education (CHPE), and also holds the International Certificate in Medical Teaching (SEDA, UK). As a diagnostician, she demonstrates a strong awareness of quality standards and compliances and has worked with organizations that uphold rigorous quality practices. These include, Chughtai Institute of Pathology (accredited by College of American Pathologists), Excel labs (ISO 9001:2015, certified) and Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (ISO 15189:2012 certified). She is performing duties as Deputy Director for Quality Assurance (Health Sciences) at QA directorate, since April 2023.
Ms. Zainab Qadir

Ms Zainab Qadir assumed the office of Dy Director Quality Assurance (Academic Audit and Accreditation) – National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) in Jan 2024 after serving NUST for fifteen years. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Human Resource from Riphah International University, Islamabad. Before that, she completed her graduation in English literature and has received several awards and positions in debates and declamation at the national level.
Her responsibilities include actively participating in the processing, preparation, and coordination of Academic Audit visits across all NUST Institutions. She is also involved in the preparation and conduct of Institutional Performance Evaluation (IPE) Review, MS/PhD Review, and processing of NOCs for MS/PhD programs by HEC and Preparation of University Portfolio Report (UPR) for IPE review each year.
Additionally, Ms. Qadir handles the documentation process for accreditation with all accreditation agencies. Provide advice to institutions related to accreditation process and processing of accreditation cases. She also takes care of cases related to honors, awards, and memberships. With her extensive experience and involvement in various aspects of academic audit and accreditation, Ms. Qadir plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and standards of education at NUST and compliance of policies and procedures of HEC and Accreditation Councils with all NUST institutions.
Ms. Sehrish Hafeez Bhatti

A certified university management professional (NUMS, 2018), and an esteemed alumnus of the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, NUST (MS ITL, 2024), Ms. Sehrish has around ten years of extensive work experience. During her time at the National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS), she was involved in tabulation and assessment of both intra-university as well as nation-wide examinations. At NUST, she is part of the QA team whose work revolves around audit and accreditation of academic entities.
Ms. Sarah Naved

Ms. Sarah Naveed is working in NUST with effect from 03 June 2025. She has completed her Master’s in Business Statistics & Management from University of the Punjab, Lahore. Ms. Sarah brings with her extensive experience in both Teaching and Educational Management. She previously worked as a Lecturer in Statistics, and prior to that, she served as Assistant Manager – Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) at Gujranwala Institute of Future Technology (GIFT), University Gujranwala. Currently, she is performing her duties as Assistant Manager Quality Assurance Rankings and Self-Assessment in Quality Assurance Directorate.
Mr. Hamid Maqsood

Mr. Hamid Maqsood is serving as Assistant Manager QA (Analytics) at the QA & NIO Directorate, NUST. He holds an MBA and has over 14 years of professional experience at NUST. His expertise includes institutional data management, data analysis, university rankings, Self-Assessment Reports (SARs), HEC Statistical Data, Yearly Performance Reports (YPR), Feedback Forms, and Quality Assurance. He has experience in compiling, validating, analyzing, and reporting institutional data, supporting HEC policy implementation and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives. He was awarded Best Employee of the Year in 2018 and has consistently received excellent performance evaluations throughout his career at NUST.
